In this video I build a couple of cedar hanging plant stands using more reclaimed cedar timber.  The base of both cedar hanging plant stands is the same however the top of each is unique.  Unfortunately the footage of cutting the curved detail on one of the planters was lost when my phone quit working and was unrecoverable.  The finish is a clear spar urethane…although if I had to do it again I’d probably use boiled linseed oil as it is way easier to reapply in the future.

This was a fun little project and a cedar hanging plant stand is a great addition to any front porch or outdoor living space.  Using reclaimed lumber makes them super cheap as you can usually always find someone with an old deck they want to get rid of!
